Where do you ship to?
We ship to all locations in Australia and New Zealand.
How do you avoid sending books I have already read?
We do our best to curate a new and exciting read for you. We will use any links or information you provide to find something that we believe you will love!
How do I tell you what books I have already read?
We recommend leaving us with a link to your Goodreads or Story Graph profile so that we can review your reading habits and previous reading history. If you have an alternative book tracking app or list we are more than happy to review these also.
Can I leave my amazon wishlist?
Yes, please feel free to leave your wishlist. While there is no guarantee that we will have one of the books on your wishlist in supply, this will still provide some insight into your current reading habits.
Can I send a photo of my shelves so you know what I have?
You can, however please keep in mind that we may not be able to see/read every book in your photo. If you would like to send us a photo, get in touch at hello@chapterclub.com.au with your order number.
What if I receive a book I already own?
Unfortunately, this is a potential risk in any mystery parcel. If you have provided us with details of what you have already read/currently own, and we have mistakenly sent you a title in your collection, we will happily exchange your book for a new selection. If you have not provided details of what you already own, any exchanges will be at the expense of the buyer. Please get in touch at hello@chapterclub.com.au.
Will my book be brand new?
We offer both second hand and new books on our website. In some boxes you have the option of receiving a new or a second-hand book. Subscription plans and Romance Club only have brand new books included.
Are second hand books good quality?
We will only send high quality, lightly used books in very good condition. You won't receive books with torn covers, heavily creased spines or damaged/missing pages.
What genres are available?
Virtually any genre is available if ordering a brand new book. We carry a limited range of second hand books in Popular Fiction, Romance, Young Adult, Crime/Thriller and Fantasy. Please consult our genre guide if you would like to learn more about what you might expect for each selected genre.
Will I know what you are sending?
All of our boxes/subscriptions are designed to be a fun surprise. Each box and book selection is individually curated and unique. Books are individually wrapped for extra surprise when opening your parcel. The only exception to this is the Romance Club, where each new month brings a pre-announced new release romance book.
Can I make requests for the items in the box?
Certainly, you can make a request in your order notes. However, item and book selections are based on availability, and there is no guarantee we can comply with every request.
When will my parcel arrive?
Once ordered, please allow a few days for us to curate your box. Orders are posted with Australia Post and may take 2-7 business days to reach you.
Is there tracking?
All parcels come with tracking, so you will know when your order is on its way.
Where are you located?
We are based in Brisbane, Australia.
Can I pick my order up in person?
At this time we do not allow in person pick up.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Can I use Afterpay for subscription payments?
Unfortunately, Afterpay is not available on subscription plans. Payment options include credit/debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Afterpay is available on one-time purchases.
How do I manage my subscription?
Once signed up, you will receive an email to your registered email address. This email will provide a link to a customer portal where you can manage your plan.
Can I pause/cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can pause or cancel your subscription in your customer portal at any time.
Can I skip a delivery?
Yes, you can opt to skip a delivery in your customer portal.
When will I receive my parcel?
Subscription boxes / Blind Date Subscriptions are usually dispatched within a week of your subscription sign up date and continue at monthly or bi-monthly intervals from there.
Romance Club subscriptions are sent in the first week of the month, regardless of the subscription sign up date. To be eligible for the next Romance club delivery make sure you sign up before the last day of the previous month.
